Due to runoff from the recent heavy rains, North Street near the hill is extremely slippery. The Highway Department has sanded but the running water washes away the sand and vehicles track the water down the road, where it freezes. Cones have been placed in the roadway as a reminder. Please slow down and drive carfully.

The weather forecasters are predicting our first snowfall of the season Saturday night (December 6) into Sunday.. They are unsure yet as to the accumulation but are predicting at least one to two inches. The Granby Police Department has been awarded a Grant in the amount of $4864.00 as part of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security Highway Safety Division’s 2009 Undrage Alcohol Enforcement Program. The Grant will allow the Police Department to partner with the licensed alcohol establishments in Town to combat undrage drinking.
