The Fire department responded to the intersection of Batchelor and School, in the vicinity of Forge Pond, for a brush fire at  5: 44 PM. The were on the scene until approximately 8:30 PM.  DCR, Belchertown and South Hadley Fire Departments also responded to the scene. Chicopee Fire Department sent a truck to man the Granby  Fire Station. BURNING SEASON IS CLOSED as of today.
