Emergency Shelter Closing at 10:00 am

At this time, the shelter that was opened at the High School this morning will be closing at 10:00 am. If a need arises for the shelter to re-open arrangements will be made. If you have any emergency needs please contact the Public Safety Department by calling 911 or dialing 413-467-9222 for non-emergencies.

Parking Ban in Effect Beginning Friday February 8th at 7 a.m.

There will be a Parking Ban in the Town of Granby from 7am on Friday, February 8, 2013 until further notice. This means that there is no on street parking allowed.

Granby Public Safety Complex has Drug Take Back BOx Installed in Lobby

The Police Department recently had a drug take back box installed in the lobby of the public safety complex.  The box has been funded by the cooperative efforts of the North Western District Attorney’s, the Hampshire County Sheriff’s Department and the Granby Board of Health.  The purpose of the box is to provide residents with a safe way to dispose of unwanted or unused prescription medications. 

Residents are encouraged to drop off their unused medications at their convenience.


There are several items that can not be accepted.  These items include:


Hydrogen peroxide


Aerosol cans

Ointments, Lotions, Liquids                                                 

Needles (sharps of any kind)

Medications from businesses or clinics


Please call the public safety complex at 467-9222 with any questions.

Sally Port Construction Under Way
