In the early morning hours of February 24th Granby Police responded to an East Street address for a theft of rims and tires from a newer model Honda Accord. The tires and rims were stolen from the resident’s vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. While this is the first instance in Granby, several communities have had numerous accounts of the same type of crime throughout our region. Residents should know that not only were the tires and rims stolen but items were taken from inside the vehicle as well. Granby Police will be working with area departments to determine any similarities to crimes in other jurisdictions.

The Police department advises residents to secure their vehicles and requests they remain alert to anything that’s out of the ordinary. Please don’t hesitate to call the police department immediately if something seems suspicious or out of order. Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to contact the police department at (413) 467-9222.
