Portion of Aldrich Street Closed

Aldrich Street between Amherst Street and Amherst Road (Rte. 116) is closed to through traffic until further notice. The bridge near the water wheel building is closed. A sinkhole has developed between the side of the road and the building. The Highway Department is waiting for the Mass DOT to inspect the bridge and the area.
